What is hypnosis and what does it feel like? 

Hypnosis is a perfectly safe, natural and beneficial state of relaxed concentration and heightened awareness, induced by suggestion. It is similar to when you are daydreaming, engrossed in a film or book or just when you first awake in the morning after a good night's sleep. You will feel very relaxed and calm, both mentally and physically and your sub-conscious mind will be able to work more effectively on the issue you wish to resolve. 


What is hypnotherapy and how can it help?

Hypnotherapy is the therapeutic use of hypnosis to create change. Hypnotherapy can be amazingly effective because, in the relaxed state of hypnosis, your highly receptive and creative sub-conscious mind can respond to positive suggestions and more effectively overcome the unhelpful unconscious patterns that have developed that prevent change. Hypnotherapy can increase positive states of mind to enhance your success in any field you wish. The possibilities are endless!

Is hypnotherapy anything like stage hypnosis?

No! Hypnotherapy is wholly about creating therapeutic benefits - helping you to achieve your personal goals. Suggestions given will be totally geared towards your goals. You will never be out of control or do anything you disagree with or which is against your normal moral or ethical code.
 
 
What is NLP?
 
Neuro-linguistic programming (usually shortened to NLP) has been described as a software manual for the brain and a new art and science of personal excellence. NLP is concerned with communication and using thought processes (neuro) and language (linguistic) to get the results you want (programming). It is a proven model for improving the way you think and behave so that you can get what you want, do what you want to do and be who you want to be.  
 

 
What is Psychotherapy?
 
Psychotherapy is a form of talking cure helping clients to explore issues that are troubling them and working to increase their sense of well-being and mental health.  
 
 
What is Life Coaching?
 
Coaching is a process of helping clients identify personal goals that are important to them and developing strategies and action plans to empower and motivate the client to move forward from where they are to where they want to be.
 
 
What is Solution Focused Brief Therapy?

Solution focused brief therapy is an approach to counselling that is both brief and effective. It is future-focused, orientated towards the client's strengths and works towards building solutions rather than focussing on what is "wrong".
 

 
How many sessions will I need?

Unlike longer term therapies which can go on indefinately - sometimes for years, my therapeutic approach is very goal focussed, aiming to resolve your issues in as few sessions as required. The estimated number of sessions will be discussed with you in consultation and is dependant on the nature of your problem. Some issues require only 1-6 sessions, others more.

I practice in more than one comfortable location in Pinner, Greater London and Central London. Locations are conveniently located for easy access by London transport facilities.
